Grey sounds plain until you see it carrying a print like this one. Teal lotuses and small ochre marigolds run all over a soft ash ground, outlined the way hand blocks do — a little uneven in places, which is how you know a human pressed them. It’s busy and calm at the same time.
The cotton is hand block printed and light enough for a long day. It’s cut in three panels that nip in at the waist and open out below, falling to 47 inches, with 3/4th sleeves gathered at the cuff. The surplice V neckline is finished with a fine dark blanket stitch that traces the crossover. Pockets in the side seams, no lining.
